Amber Nolan is on deck with the latest cruise deals, industry news, ship reviews, and advice on finding the perfect voyage to suit your personality.
As if Valentines Day isn’t bad enough, the last thing single travelers need is to shell out extra because the industry standard includes that painful fine print “based on double occupancy.” Lately, the tides have been changing as more companies are waving single-supplements as part of promotional efforts. Norwegian is among the contenders that have been cutting costs for those who choose to cruise solo by offering studios aboard the soon-to-debut Norwegian Epic.
The studios are a first for NCL and are specifically designed and priced for single occupancy. The staterooms include a full-sized bed, a two-way window to the corridor (you can only look out the window), and private access to the exclusive Studio Lounge. Studios are available this summer starting from $799 for a 7-night Caribbean voyage (traditional interior cabins are priced from $899 per person based on double occupancy).
Now, if only we can get waiters everywhere to stop asking “just one tonight?”
I have cruised many times with NCL and really enjoyed the cruises.
I was married at that time I see that you have single cruise prices off of Sherman’s travel website. Are you planing any on board things for singles to meet other singles? I would hate to book and not have anything to do by myself. I don’t know if I would like to book with another single or not. Guess I will have to try that since the pricing would probably be cheaper.
Thanks for your time
