Disney is the epitome of a successful entertainment conglomerate. They always have some magic up their sleeve — whether it’s creating new rides and attractions at Walt Disney World with ground-breaking technology or scripting a new blockbuster movie. But now, they just added one more project to their to-do list.

Regent Seven Seas has been full of surprises lately. Last week, the luxury cruise line announced the completion of the first phase of its refurbishment program. This means that two lucky ships, the Seven Seas Voyager, and the Seven Seas Mariner have undergone a mini-makeover. Lucky passengers will have even more comfort in redesigned public lounges and rooms complete with spanking new carpeting and upholstery. On the dining front, some highlights include the creation of a contemporary grill restaurant, a new coffee and snack bar on the Seven Seas Voyager, and the addition of more casual dining options on both ships. The next phase of this estimated transition begins in April 2010, when a third ship, the Seven Seas Navigator will undergo similar improvements, so that it too will have that “new cruise ship smell.” Read the rest of this post »
