With “the wedding of the century” fast approaching, hotels the world over are enticing travelers with packages for the nuptial weekend and beyond. Sure, it might be fun to Shag Like Royalty in San Francisco, but for a more authentic, high-class experience, opt for one of these London royal wedding packages.

The Unofficial Viewing Party

Those not lucky enough to score an invite to the ceremony will be glued to their TVs on April 29 – or if you prefer, The Stafford’s TV. This St. James’s area gem (whose American Bar is rumored to be a favorite haunt of Prince William and Kate Middleton) is throwing a viewing party in the outdoor courtyard the day of the wedding, with courtly canapés and free-flowing English sparkling wines for toasting the happy couple. Tickets cost $135/person; make a reservation by calling 011-44-20-7493-0111 or emailing rsvp.london@kempinski.com. (Note the hotel is sold out that evening, but you don’t have to be a guest to purchase tickets to the viewing party.)

Take the Royal Route

Space may be limited in the royal carriage that will transport Wills and Kate from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace, but you can recreate the experience with a copycat horse and carriage ride (shown above) that’s part of the Royal Treatment package at 51 Buckingham Gate (www.51-buckinghamgate.com). Later, learn about Will’s royal lineage with tickets to the Tower of London, then relax back at the hotel with Champagne afternoon tea, free spa access, and evening cocktails and canapés in the Library. The four-night package is available through September 30; rates start at $711/night.

Make off with the Crown Jewels (Sort of)

Coveting Kate’s exquisite engagement ring? Make a private appointment with an all-access tour at Asprey, the “Royal Jewelers” (purveyors of baubles to members of the royal family past and present), courtesy of the Royal Wedding Celebration package at Brown’s Hotel (www.brownshotel.com). The shop is just one stop on the hotel’s “royal points of interest map,” which also includes Buckingham Palace and Clarence House (the official London residence of William; his father, Charles; and his brother, Harry). You’ll also get a slew of other regal perks, like limo airport transfers, afternoon tea for two, a welcome bottle of rosé Champagne, and a Brown’s leather keepsake album. Book this two-night package through June 9; rates start at $1,390/night for a junior suite.

Pay Tribute to a Royal Mother

If you’d prefer to wax nostalgic about that other royal wedding, check in to Dukes London with the hotel’s Spencer House package for tickets to Princess Diana’s family home. Though the late Lady Di never lived at Spencer House (open to the public on Sundays), the building and grounds have been artfully restored to their 18th-century grandeur. Rates start at $455/night; package is available for Saturday stays year-round except during January and August.
