Named after the Sanskrit word for the state of bliss, this intimate hotel has 24 suites all found within a 28,000-square-foot restored colonial home in the walled city. Room sizes vary; some have 20-foot high ceilings and street-side balconies, while others add Jacuzzis and private terraces. Romance is in the sweetly citrus scented air of tropical sophistication at Ananda. Looking out towards the Caribbean, cocktail in hand, maybe from one of the day beds on one of several terraces, summons an intimate connection with the city that few of the other boutiques can claim.
