Sail on a passenger ferry through stunning fjords
So, you consider yourself a veteran cruiser who has experienced your fair share of ocean cruises, river cruises, and transatlantic crossings. But have you ever sailed aboard a traditional passenger ship? Hurtigruten’s ferries were once an integral part of the Norwegian transportation system, connecting major cities to areas where highways could not reach. The cruise line continues this tradition by carrying passengers and automobiles, as well as cruisers looking for a unique experience sailing past the stunning scenery of Norway. Although these voyages can dent the U.S. traveler’s wallet (rates are based in the British pound), Hurtigruten is currently offering 20 percent savings on 6-day voyages starting from £655 ($1,036 USD).
This offer is valid on the 6-day Voyage South which calls at over 30 different ports. The ship embarks from Kirkenes (bound for Bergen) and will sail through some incredible locales like the Lofoten Islands (which consist of a network of weaving inlets), as well as the dramatic Trollfjord. Rate are valid on sailings embarking between May and September, but must be booked by March 31.
Rates are based per person based on double occupancy and do not include optional shore excursions.
Prices are subject to change with the fluctuating exchange rate.
