Bora Bora — Although small at just 6 miles long and 2.5 miles wide, Bora Bora makes a big first impression. This lush, tropical paradise with a mountainous center and brilliant blue reef-protected lagoon is the most celebrated of French Polynesia’s Society Islands. Recently featured in the movie Couples Retreat, Bora Bora was first made famous by author James Michener who called it "the most beautiful place on earth" in his book Tales of the South Pacific and later by Oscar Hammerstein II, who wrote the lyrics for the musical South Pacific, declaring "Here am I, your special island! Come to me, come to me." Lovers of beauty and romance should heed the call.

Why Go

For relaxation, swimming, snorkeling, white-sand beaches, and to toast the sunset with a Mai Tai or champagne.
