The Anna's owners, the Geisel family, knew what they were doing when they brought in the Donghia design firm to imbue the hotel's interior with personality (perhaps they took their cue from Ralph Lauren, who enlisted the firm to design his Fifth Avenue New York apartment). The 73-room property's retro-chic theme succeeds in being simultaneously whimsical and sophisticated, interweaving filigree lamps, bold statuette sculptures, and sequenced LED accent lighting with warm, earthy tones and floor-to-ceiling windows that let in large swaths of natural light. Secure the best views and escape the street noise by requesting a room on the fourth floor or above and be sure to make use of the complimentary mini-bar. The metro and tram right outside are an added convenience.
