Danubius Hotel Gellért
Address: Szent Gellert ter 1
The legendary 1918 Art Nouveau hotel retains many of its charms, including the ornate and legendary spa and thermal baths. But unfortunately, the Gellért has seen better days. It's been undergoing a slow renovation since 2000. There are over 200 rooms and 13 suites, and they vary considerably in size and price, so it's important to ask for details when booking. Generally speaking, the renovated rooms are much nicer. Not all rooms have air-conditioning and bathtubs, but all have Wi-Fi. Rooms overlooking Gellért Square can be noisier than those overlooking the baths. Guests have complimentary access to the baths, a popular tourist attraction, which include indoor and outdoor pools and a steam room.
