The Four Seasons Gresham Palace is widely considered the best hotel in Eastern Europe. It’s centrally located on the Danube across from the Chain Bridge and the Buda Castle in a restored 1906 Art Nouveau landmark. Everything here is done on an impressive scale. The lobby is a wonder of mosaic tiles; the glass dome made with glass leaves is just as stunning. The 179 large rooms have king size beds, deep-soak bathtubs, and high-speed internet access. Rooms overlooking the Danube have better views than those on the courtyard. The top floor fitness center and spa has an indoor pool, and the highly-regarded Pava, one of the hotel’s two restaurants, serves fine Italian cuisine.
