Cancun Money-Saving Tips

Cancun — One of the most popular tourist destinations in Mexico, Cancún always seems to be making a comeback after its annual hurricane season. However, year after year, the city maintains its reputation for being the place in Mexico to go in order to party. Thanks to its pristine beaches, abundant selection of affordable (as well as luxury) resorts and hotels, great shopping, and a nightlife that extends to the wee hours of the morning, Cancún has a reputation for being Spring Break Central for high school seniors, as well as college and grad students. Yet, Cancún is also a vacation destination that can offer serenity, relaxation and plenty of daytime activities for more mature travelers. Unlike other parts of Mexico, however, Cancún is extremely commercial and touristy, featuring just about every American franchise restaurant and retail store in existence. Thus, visitors really don’t experience much authentic Mexican culture, history, or cuisine here. Nevertheless, it does offer plenty of ways to enjoy a memorable vacation.

Why Go

For white-sand beaches, poolside bars, all-inclusive mega-resorts, superb shopping, luxury spas, and lively nightlife.
