The ultra-contemporary Altis Belem Hotel couldn't have a more scenic location in Lisbon, nestled on the Tagus River waterfront. A new riverside bicycle lane in the works means guests will soon enjoy picturesque rides, courtesy of the hotel which can arrange bike rentals.  Taking full advantage of this waterside venue, the hotel is plenty airy with full walls of windows in the public spaces and in the 50 guest rooms. All rooms are uniquely designed in an Asian, African, or Americas theme. Each room features minimalist decor and graphic lacquer wall panels, created by an award-winning Portuguese design firm, that reflect these themes. The expansive marble-lined spa features a 340-foot-long pool, cascading waterfalls, and a hammam.
