Another beautiful boutique that’s part of the Heritage Hotel group, the Britania opened in 2005. It’s located on a quiet street off Lisbon’s main street, Avenida da Liberdade, in a 1940s building that was designed by famous Portuguese architect Cassiano Branco. It’s the only surviving Art Deco hotel in Lisbon, and it retains much of that era’s style, mood, and furnishings. The 33 rooms are spacious, with a cool, muted palette and amenities like satellite TV and free WiFi. The hotel has a lively bar and a quiet lounge with a fireplace.
