Family-owned and –operated Hotel Lisboa Plaza is a charming four-star inn flanked by the Avenida da Liberdade and the Botanical Gardens. It’s quiet and informal but very elegant, with interiors designed by famous Portuguese decorator Graça Viterbo. The common rooms are comfortable and plush, with big sofas, curved wood furniture, and a color palette of warm cream tones and deep red accents. The hotel has a library, bar, and lounge, but no gym or business facilities. The 94 rooms are well-sized and have satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. This is the largest hotel in the Heritage Lisbon chain, but the staff prides itself in the attentive care it gives guests.
