Everything about this 55-room hotel is fun and fresh, aside from the original façade which dates back to 1899. Quotes from Alice in Wonderland – displayed on the elevator shaft walls – roll past guests standing in the glass elevator. Step into the bathroom and don't be surprised by orange, chartreuse or even black toilet paper. The guest rooms (spread out between four floors; the hotel has six floors total) represent one of four design concepts: Tribal, Zen, urban, and pop.  Expect photos of street graffiti (urban), zebra murals (tribal), graphics of Warhol paintings (pop), and Suzuki quotes (Zen). The spacious contemporary dining room on the second floor and the adjacent bar spaces are all bathed in natural light and provide panoramic views of Rossio Square.
