Here’s something you don’t see every day: a boutique hotel housed in a century-old former prison. Located a quick walk from the train station, it’s really a hostel, with rooms (yes, they used to be cells) for two or three that have been designed by different local artists and designers. The overall design is high-concept and cool, which makes a stay here something visitors will tell tales about. The hostel also has a thriving local arts and culture scene and is the site of art exhibits and formal and informal concerts.
