This property, located in the middle of the active Passeig de Gracia, takes its design and its food seriously. The hallways are dark, while the 59 rooms are bright, with modern, unfussy furnishings and amenities like high-speed Internet and excellent stereos. While-away-the-day hotel perks include a lobby with comfy sofas and a floating fireplace, an in-house performance space, a Zen-like wellness center that offers water treatments and massages, and a rooftop pool with a bar and outstanding Gaudí views. This was the first hotel opened by restaurateur Rosa María Esteva, and the two in-house restaurants, Moo and Moo-vida, attract quite a scene for their inventive Catalan cuisine.
