An array of three-star perks and an unbeatable location a stone’s throw from La Rambla makes up for the fact Barcelona’s oldest hotel, inside the former Convent of Saint Augustine from 1720, sits on a slightly shady square. The 75 rooms here come complete with the usual spectrum of amenities such as air-conditioning, telephone, TV, safe, and a well-equipped bathroom. Many of the units feature original detail like wood beams and stone walls. The more expensive attic suites offer great views of the area and a cozy atmosphere.
