Latin in Rome
Where better to brush up on the lingua franca of the Western world than in the Eternal City herself? After reaching cult status by teaching an informal Latin class for over 15 years at Rome’s Janiculum Hill, Father Reginald Foster, an American Catholic priest, founded the Academia Romae Latinitatis in 2006. Courses – always gratis – typically include excursions to Pompeii, the Roman Forum, and the Castelli Romani.
