Don’t Miss Trinity College, where the stunning Book of Kells (made by Celtic monks in the Middle Ages) is on display. Pubs—all 1,000—are a staple of city life: the historic Palace Bar (353/1-677-9290) is great on game days, and Hughes (353/1-872-6540) features live local musicians.

When to Go Year-round. Winters are relatively mild.
