This hillside haven, set amid hibiscus gardens and built into the climbing cliffs above the bay, offers jaw-dropping views of Acapulco bay. Although you can't escape pink décor here (from the rooms to the restaurants and the lobby), the breathtaking vistas overrule and inspire romance. All 263… more casitas, which underwent a $20 million renovation in 2007, have dramatic panoramas of the bay and boast their own private or semi-private, amoeba-shaped pool on a balcony or terrace; some pools weave in and out of the room. In total, the resort has 210 pools! Otherwise, rooms are simple with marble floors, ordinary furnishings, and, of course, pink accents. Bedspreads are – you guessed it – pink, as are countertops, pillows, cushions, and walls. Early-morning breakfast arrives at your door and constant jeep service shuttles guests to and from the beach club, about a half-mile away (a obligatory service charge covers shuttle service and tips). There you'll find a large swimming pool, a fresh-water tidal pool, and a casual eatery.
