During Acapulco’s '30s heyday, Los Flamingos was the spot to see celebrities like John Wayne, Errol Flynn, Cary Grant, and Roy Rogers. Though much of the glam is gone, it’s still a kitschy, funky place to come for dramatic ocean views (it’s located atop the highest cliffs in the city)… more and to see the old photos that line every inch of wall space. Decked out with hammocks, the rooms are simple and haven’t changed much in decades. They’ve added Wi-Fi, but some rooms still lack A/C. If you don’t stay here, at least come for the onsite bar and restaurant.
