Off Season: December to May
Things get extremely damp during the rainy season, dubbed “winter” by the locals. The Amazon is huge, so the length and timing of the rainy season can vary by region, but in the major cities, Manaus and Belém, it runs roughly from December to May.
Sweet Spot: September to October
The best time for fishing is during the last months of the dry season, generally September and October, when water levels are lower.
