American Southwest Itineraries

Long Weekend
For a quick escape to the Southwest, fly to Phoenix and spend the night in the luxurious Sanctuary on Camelback. Spend most of your time exploring the spas and golf courses of Phoenix, but be sure to rent a car and make the two hour drive north to Sedona to spend a day admiring the beautiful red rock scenery there.
One Week
Fly into Phoenix and immediately rent a car and head north to spend your first night in Sedona. Check out the red rocks and then head north the next morning to the Grand Canyon for the next two days. Spend a night in either Bryce Canyon or Zion National Park and then drive to Mesa Verde and spend a night in Durango. Spend the next day driving through the Navajo Nation on US Route 160 back to Phoenix, where you can spend the next two days at the spa or on the golf course.
Two weeks
Follow the above one-week itinerary as far as Durango. From there, drive south to New Mexico and give yourself three days to explore Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos. On your long drive west to Phoenix, be sure to drive over Route 66 for a bit of classic Americana (try to squeeze in the Petrified Forest National Park along the way). Spend your last two days in Phoenix and Scottsdale relaxing by an infinity pool or soothing achy hiking muscles at the spa.
