Angkor When To Go

Peak Season: November to April
The bulk of Angkor/Siem Reap’s two million tourists visit during the dry season months of November to April (December and January are the busiest months). Prices rise accordingly; temperatures hover around the low 80s.
Off Season: May to August
The rainy season means periodic downpours followed by sweaty 100-degree spells. Most visitors stay away, but those who brave the disagreeable weather enjoy good deals and crowd-free sites.
Sweet Spot: September to October
Autumn provides a short lull before the rush of peak season. The heat drops down to the 90s and the rains subside somewhat. This is the best time to take advantage of lower rates, fewer crowds, and the beautiful greenery, which is flush from rainy season showers.
