The most northerly of the Leeward Islands, Anguilla is 16 miles long and 3 miles wide at its widest point. Of its eight offshore cays, Prickley Pear, Scilly Cay and Sandy Island have popular beachside bistros, though no accommodations, while Anguillita, Scrub and Dog are unoccupied. The following areas are located on the main island.
