Aspen: Tips

Altitude Adjustment Adjust to the 8,000-foot altitude by taking it easy the first day or two, drinking plenty of water, and limiting alcohol and caffeine intake.

Smart Follower If you're inexperienced in backcountry travel, we strongly recommend hiring a reliable guide to show you the ropes. Aspen Alpine Guides offers customizable multi-day tours.

Ambassador Tour All four mountains offer intermediate skiers and shredders this free hour-long tour of the mountain. Groups meet at the base of the mountain at 10:30am everyday.

Ski Concierge Contact one of the Aspen Ski Company’s concierges for free advice and assistance making restaurant reservations, arranging equipment transfers, storage and/or rentals.

Equipment Rentals Reserve ahead if you plan on renting gear—making arrangements at least a week in advance can save you up to 20%. Purchasing rentals as part of a lesson is also a money-saver.

Free Resort Shuttle Take advantage of the free shuttle buses that connect hotels and the four ski areas between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm. The Snowmass Village Shuttle also provides free regular service around the village.

Lift Tickets Multi-day passes are significantly more affordable than day passes, so the longer you stay the more you’ll save on mountain time. Tickets are good for all four mountains.
