Take a chance with lady luck at one of Atlantic City’s 11 casinos – from the urban sophistication of the Borgata to the overblown glitz and glamour that has survived from the ‘80s at Harrah’s.

Unlike many shore towns, you don’t need to pay a fee to get on the sand. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer.

Stroll down four miles of wooden planks to enjoy the crowds and the beach on the first boardwalk in the world; also a gateway into most of Atlantic City’s casinos, restaurants, and shops.

Check out sea bass, sand tiger sharks, stingrays, horseshoe crabs, and other creatures that live off the coast of New Jersey.

Climb to the top of New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse for a great view and workout, or visit the attached museum and gift shop if you prefer to stay closer to the ground.
