Long Weekend With Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, all only a short flight away, you can easily add on a long weekend on the Gold Coast to any Australian itinerary. Once here settle in for a long weekend of sun, surf, and sand, starting with a beachfront hotel on Surfers Paradise to maximize your beach time. Save a few hours on your last day and seek respite from the sun in the cool mountain air of Mount Tamborine.

One Week Spend 3-4 days checking out the action at Surfers Paradise, Main Beach, and Broadbeach. Take another day for shopping, or get your kicks at one of the region’s many theme parks, before heading to the hills for the last 2 days to discover the galleries of Mount Tamborine or the rainforests of Mount Lamington.

Two Weeks While most visitors spend their time at one beachside location, with 14 days at your disposal you can beach hop between the north and south coast (allow four days for each). Add on a few extra days to catch all the fun at the theme parks, 3 days to fully explore Lamington National Park, and 2 days to wander around Mount Tamborine.
