Belgium’s temperate weather is best in the summer, but crowds are also at their heaviest, and hotel prices and airfare are at their highest. Be aware, too, that many restaurants close during July and August, when most Belgians go on holiday.
Off Season: November to April
Though airfare, hotels, and restaurants are generally cheaper, and smaller crowds make the most popular attractions more easily navigable, Belgium’s winter days can often be soggy and chilly.
Sweet Spot: April to May; September to November
While sometimes overcast and/or rainy, Belgium’s spring and fall days are generally mild, and travel costs usually run a bit lower than in summer.
