Propeller Island City Lodge may be one of the more creative hotels ever created. Lars Stroschen is the artist who owns and runs the property, where each of the 30 rooms has a wild, unique design theme. Therapie is all-white, with colored lighting controlled by the guest. The sleeping quarters in Flying Bed are in a temple at the top of a ramp. The Mirror Room has mirrors everywhere. The furniture hangs from the ceiling in the Upside-Down Room. Perhaps not surprisingly, this hotel is more about artistic and wild experience than it is about the usual hotel amenities.
