Neither quite as fancy nor as stodgy as other small, tony Bermudian resorts, The Reefs enjoys a loyal following, thanks to sterling service and a splendid setting with Atlantic views from virtually every vantage point. There are three restaurants, La Serena Spa, and the beach is blissfully un-crowded… more and well-maintained. 65 guest units and seven cottages are staggered along the jungle-blanketed coral escarpment and beach. Every unit offers Atlantic views from a private sundeck, mini-bar, safe, fridge, and little luxuries like plush robes and TV/DVDs – even the smallish "standard" rooms. The higher-end Point Suites have little mural-filled niches, decadent separate rainwater showers, and private outdoor hot tubs. Seven separate cottages (one to four bedrooms with garden or oceanfront views) have their own private outdoor hot tubs and basic kitchenettes, blending the convenience of a resort with the privacy of a home.
