Tucked away in Turkey’s sunny southwest corner, Bodrum is known as "Istanbul on Sea" for its popularity with the glitterati, who flock here in summer to stay in little white houses and hotels and eat in glitzy restaurants in the town center or out on the Bodrum Peninsula.
This polished seaside gem knows how to party, Turkish-style, with trendy hotels, restaurants, and clubs.
Boutique inns, family-run pensions, and package hotels share space equally in Bodrum town center, but on the peninsula the scene is more divided – package- properties cluster in Gumbet, Bitez, and Turgutreis, while the more idiosyncratic hotels are banded together in Gumusluk, Yalikavak, and Golturkbuku.
