Bora Bora: Getting There

Airports All U.S. flights arrive first in Papeete, Tahiti (PPT). From there travelers connect to Bora Bora’s only airport, Motu Mote (BOB).

Airlines Air Tahiti Nui, Qantas and Air New Zealand all offer nonstop service from Los Angeles to Tahiti. From June-October, Air Tahiti Nui also flies nonstop to Tahiti from New York (the rest of the year, East Coast travelers must connect via L.A.). Air Tahiti and Wan Air connect Tahiti to Bora Bora.

Flight Times Nonstop flights from Los Angeles to Papeete take 8.5 hours; from New York it’s 13 hours. From there, it’s an additional 40-minute flight to Bora Bora.
