Brazil’s major international airports are São Paulo’s Aeroporto Guarulhos (GRU) and Rio de Janeiro’s Aeroporto Galeão (GIG), both which provide connections to northern gateways like Manaus (MAO), Belém (BEL), and Macapá (MCP.)
Airlines
Varig and TAM, Brazil’s major carriers, operate international flights with hubs in Miami and New York. Though direct flights to Rio are becoming more common, many stop over in São Paulo. American Airlines, United, Delta, and Continental also serve Brazil.
