There is only one place to shop in Búzios – the Rua das Pedras. Sharing the main business drag with bars and restaurants are fashion boutiques, artist ateliers and stores selling crafts, gifts and home furnishings. Many shops are outposts of stylish chains from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

This shop features the work of artisans from the nearby town of Cabo Frio, with marine themes as the focus.

A dozen or so top-notch artists sell their paintings straight from their ateliers. Some can be found on Rua das Pedras; others are scattered around other parts of downtown. Of special note are the paper maché sculptures of Ivonne R.
