Cabo San Lucas Neighborhoods

Neighborhoods

Los Cabos encompasses two main towns and a connecting 19-mile Tourist Corridor rimmed with posh resorts between them. Mellow historic San José del Cabo offers superb shopping and dining around the picture-postcard Spanish colonial town square, Plaza Mijares. Cabo San Lucas is the formerly drowsy fishing village turned brash, rambunctious sibling.

Medano Beach
The main drag of sand is littered with lounge chairs, beachside bars, and restaurants. Come here for water sports, swimming, and merchants hawking handicrafts, jewelry, and trinkets.
Downtown Cabo
Harboring the Marina (one of the best yachting and sport fishing facilities worldwide), it's also a stone’s throw from Cabo’s lively nightlife scene, top restaurants, and hotels.
Palmilla Beach
Head here for protected swimming, diving, and snorkeling; or watch the legendary Palmilla fleet (one of the finest in the world) set sail at 7am each morning.
Playa Chileno
Located on the Sea of Cortez and shaded by palm trees, its amazing reef is perfect for diving and snorkeling; tidepools at the east end cater to kids.
Santa Maria Bay
You can easily spend a day swimming, snorkeling, diving and picnicking at this beautiful bay with its moon-shaped beach and surrounding vermilion mountains.
Lover's Beach/Playa de Amor
Accessible only by boat, the remote (though crowded) cove is lined by exquisite rock formations and bordered by the Sea of Cortez and Pacific Ocean.
