Off Season: September to November
These months are the heart of hurricane and rainy season, so your idyllic beach getaway may get sidetracked by a storm. On the upside, you can score dirt-cheap hotel rooms.
Sweet Spot: May to August
If you can handle the humidity, you’ll be rewarded by fewer crowds and great deals at luxury hotels. Temperatures regularly reach above 85˚F. While hurricane season officially begins in June, Cancun is not especially prone to the storms until fall.
