Peak Season: May; July to August Beyond the obvious May film festival onslaught, July and August are hot (both physically and touristically) for Cannes, with beaches, restaurants and discos running at full tilt and hotel prices generally at least 25% higher.
Off Season: November to April Cannes is quietest November through April, when temps are cooler but still pleasant with highs normally in the 55-65 degree range. Though it’s not quite the same winter ghost town as some of its Riviera neighbors, some popular hotels and restaurants close for weeks or even months at a time during this period.
Sweet Spot: June; September to October With warm temperatures but far fewer tourists, June, September and October are perfect months for a less crowded, but still lively, Cannes visit. You’ll also get the best bang for your buck at hotels.
