Cape Canaveral When To Go

The Space Coast is popular nearly year-round. Beaches are packed during the 90-degree summers and in early fall, when big waves lure surfers. Winter brings cold-weather escapees from the north, while spring sees swarms of college kids and British tourists.

The cape calms down for a very brief period in late Fall (temperatures average in the 70s).Visitors who come during this time will have the beaches largely to themselves.

There is no true shoulder season on Cape Canaveral – consider traveling during the low season (late September through the middle of November) for fewer crowds and better deals.
