The best live music venue in Chiang Mai, period. As soon as guitarist Took takes over the stage at 10:30pm, the tiny, smoke-filled locals’ joint is rocked with renditions of Hendrix, Dylan, Clapton and other classics.

This multi-story venue gets busy after dark. A stiff cover charge keeps backpackers away, but don’t expect Bangkok’s glam. DJs and shows are good but not jaw-dropping. Still, it does have the city’s largest dance floor.
