Family-run and fairly priced, the 47-room Bertrams has no restaurant or bar, but provides a delicious breakfast and, on request, lunch. They are proud that 90 percent of their food is organic, much of it brought in from the adjoining deli next door. It is a small place, so don’t expect an abundance of staff, but it’s friendly and the location in Vesterbro will appeal to people who want to explore some of the younger, hipper stores in town. Many of the rooms have four-poster beds, and some have mini-balconies overlooking the courtyard. In June 2007 the owners opened a sibling hotel, the Axel.
