Hurricanes are an outside risk, but more likely you’ll just encounter short afternoon downpours (which cut the 80 to 90 degree heat) and powerful humidity. Some businesses and hotels shut in September and October, the rainiest months, but those that are open offer great deals.
Rain is usually rare in early summer, but temperatures can reach 90 degrees. With zero crowds and low rates, November is prime time to visit if you want cooler weather (78 degrees is average), but divers beware: the recent rains mean murky water.
