The Morrison is one of Dublin’s chicest hotels, with a clientele to match. It’s located across the River Liffey from Temple Bar in Ireland’s best shopping district. The funky décor mixes antiques with modern art and bathtubs with leather head- and footrests. A new wing with 48 rooms was recently built, for a total of 138 rooms and suites. The décor is smart and comfortable, with thick duvets, Frette linens, and aromatherapy toiletries. Standard rooms have flat screen TVs and iPod docking stations; studios have Apple LCD screens and even hair-straighteners. The penthouse has a wraparound balcony with views over the entire city and a dining room that accommodates up to eight people.
