In terms of location, this south city centre hotel can't be beaten. Facing directly onto the banks of the Grand Canal in the heart of south Dublin, it's a five-minute walk from here to the city centre. Furnished in somewhat utilitarian style, what it doesn't have in terms of glamorous décor it more than makes up for in value. Downsides include a fee for wi-fi and limited off-street parking, but if these aren't an issue, the Glaze restaurant serves decent, moderately priced food; the bar at the rear is pleasant enough; and the rooms are modern and clean – if basic.
