Egypt has three major international airports: Cairo (CAI), Luxor (LXR), and Alexandria (HBE). Smaller airports are located in the Red Sea cities Sharm el-Sheikh (SSH) and Hurghada (HRG).

Both British Airways and Egypt Air have direct flights from London’s Heathrow and New York’s JFK to Cairo. American and Delta have flights with connections. Egypt Air is the most reliable airline for traveling within the country.
