England has three major airports near London: Heathrow (LHR), Gatwick (LGW), and Stansted (LST). International flights also operate from Manchester (MAN), Bristol (BRS), Leeds-Bradford (LBA), Liverpool (LPL), and Birmingham (BHX).

England’s national carrier is British Airways, offering direct flights from Boston, Denver, New York, and San Francisco. Virgin Atlantic operates direct flights from San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. Most budget airlines, including Ryan Air and EasyJet, shuttle between European destinations, but Zoom Airlines recently began operating transatlantic flights from New York’s JFK.
