England When To Go

Peak Season: July; August
Brits head for the coast in the high season – so expect the seaside towns on the south coast to be rather crowded. The south is usually a little warmer than the north and the west is wetter than the east, but British weather is notoriously unpredictable. London is exceptionally busy during the summer season and prices are higher, so book well in advance to get the best deals.
Off Season: November to March
Cheaper deals are available in most places during the low season, though accommodations are much more expensive over Christmas and the New Year. Expect it to be cold and wet in most places, too.
Sweet Spot: April to June; September to October
The weather can get rather cold in April and October, but hotels offer good shoulder-season rates and most destinations are far less crowded than in the summer. Accommodations are slightly more expensive in June and September.
