The weather is almost always a comfortable 55 degrees, making Ensenada a popular destination year-round. Still, prices jump by roughly ten percent during the summer season when festivals and families on vacation bring more visitors. The winter holidays also usher in crowds.

While the fall and winter months temperatures can get cool on the coast, they are still steaming hot inland. Hotels don’t officially lower their rates, but be prepared to haggle and you’ll find a deal.

While few hotels drop their rates by the season, many do during the week (Ensenada is primarily visited by weekenders from California), especially during this off-peak time of year. Stay for three or more days during the week and expect to get big discounts, free nights, and other extras.
