Airports
Florida's main airports are in Miami (MIA) and Orlando (MCO), but all major domestic carriers and some international flights also operate out of regional hubs like Tampa (TPA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL).
Airlines
All major U.S. carriers – United, Continental, American, Delta, and US Airways – and most international airlines serve MCO and MIA. Low-cost carriers WestJet,and Midwest Airlines serve MCO.
Flight Times
Flights to Miami take about 2.5 hours from New York, about 5 hours from Los Angeles, and 6.5 hours from the Northwest. Shave off 30 minutes if traveling to Central Florida.
Ground Transportation
Amtrak services nearly 30 cities statewide, including Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Miami. Greyhound buses stop in more than 50 Florida locations from the Panhandle to Key West; their North American Discovery Pass is good for unlimited travel in 7- to 60-day increments for prices that range from $329-750.
