France Itineraries

Long Weekend
Pick a city base and stay local. Paris is an obvious choice, with its frequent non-stop flights from the US, and gaggle of monuments, museums, and charming neighborhoods. It’s also within day-trip distance of attractions in nearby Versailles and the Loire.
One week
Fly into Paris, and explore the capital for at least 3 or 4 days. Rent wheels and head north to the Normandy region for 2 nights, visiting the D-Day beaches and Mont St-Michel monument before rounding out the trip with an overnight stay in the Loire. Return home from Paris.
Two weeks
Adding on to the above one week itinerary, catch the high-speed train (TGV) from Paris to Marseille. Devote several days to exploring the gems of the Provençal region, from Avignon to Aix-en-Provence. Continue west towards the Côte d’Azur to get some beach time in at spots like St-Tropez and Cannes. Fly home from Nice.
